RAINFOREST IMMERSION
Explore the magnificent diversity of the Panamanian rainforest on over 4 km of private trails. Sloths, toucans, hummingbirds, lizards, momotorufo, zapatero are all present on the property. The jungle is different every day. Every day is a new experience. We recommend an early morning departure to take advantage of the cooler temperatures. The trail can be steep in places.
Daytime hiking : Tomas and Liborio are at your disposal. Accustomed to the rainforest since childhood, they see and know many animals, plants, and trees that might escape your notice. However, they are not professional guides, so their remuneration will be left to your discretion
Night hiking : Upon request, we can organize guided night walks.
NATURAL POOLS FORMED BY THE TORRENT
The torrent that runs the length of the Rambala Jungle Lodge property has formed some beautiful natural pools. Take advantage of the cool water to relax, swim or simply sit back and admire the natural surroundings.
Near your lodge, signs indicate your direct access to the torrent's waterfalls. Towels are available for swimming.
HORSE RIDING WITH OUR
EQUESTRIAN MANAGER
We offer 2-hour horseback rides in the valley and around Rambala Jungle Lodge. You'll discover a different landscape, greener and more undulating; coffee plantations, the daily bath of our neighbors, the buffalo, the small village of Rambala.
You'll be accompanied by our equestrian leader, who will introduce you to Catalina, Pacifico and Chiquita.
The cost of the ride is US$ 55 per person.
RELAX IN YOUR HAMMOCK IN THE HEART OF THE JUNGLE
In each lodge, you'll find hammocks at your disposal. Signs indicate where you can hang your hammock, close to the river and under the trees, to benefit from the shade and breeze. Small tables are available for drinks. With your favorite book, alone or with friends, discover the charm of relaxation in the heart of nature.
FOREST BATHING UNDER THE STARS
In the intimacy of its green setting, discover the benefits of our “forest bath”. The delights of a hot bath, under a starry sky, in the jungle, is an unforgettable experience. We don't use any treatments, and the water is changed every day. It takes two hours to prepare.
Please let us know in advance if you wish to use it. The “forest bath” is offered free of charge to our guests.
EL RANCHO
El Rancho is a space accessible to all and entirely open to nature. At any time of day, after a nice hike or a swim, come and discover El Rancho.
You can play billiards, darts, cards or relax in the swinging hammocks with your book. Other games are available and cold drinks can be brought in.
LA PALAPA
La Palapa is a Tiki-style hut, built according to Ngöbe-Buglé custom from wood with a palm-branch roof.
For planning activities, sharing the day's experiences, chatting and philosophizing with friends, the Palapa offers a very special atmosphere.
Surrounded by deckchairs, the centerpiece is a propane-powered fireplace, which we'll light on request.
EL ZAPATERO
Table, chairs, hammocks, you can enjoy Wi-Fi on this pleasant terrace. We can also serve you drinks outside of mealtimes or aperitifs.
CASITA TIPICA
Haven of peace, here you will find the largest of the natural pools. La Casita Tipica borders the stream on the path leading from the main entrance to the Lodge. It is the ideal place to stop for a swim after a horse ride.
EL GUAYANA
In the privacy of a green setting, El Guayana is dedicated to your meditation or physical exercise time.
BAMBOO PLACE
A magnificent bouquet of bamboo adorns the space. Located on the hiking trail, tables and benches have been set up for a break. Time to quench your thirst and enjoy the view.
