Welcome to Rambala Jungle Lodge, Panama
Nestled in 30 hectares of rainforest, accessible only on foot, Rambala Jungle Lodge offers a unique experience of total immersion in the Panamanian jungle and exploration of its incredible diversity.
Built at a slight altitude, the Lodge benefits from steady Caribbean Sea breezes during the day and cool mountain air at night. The temperature remains ideal all year round, fluctuating between 28-30° during the day and 23-25° at night.
Rambala Jungle Lodge is located 3 km from the main road linking the Bocas del Toro archipelago to Boquete and David.
Rambala Jungle Lodge, an authentic ecolodge
All of the stilt houses have been carefully constructed by the Ngäbe-Buglé people (natives of the region) from the various types of wood found on the property. Each piece has been cut and assembled by hand. The rustic Caribbean style blends perfectly with the Panamanian rainforest.
The torrent, the source of life! A system of hydroelectric micro-turbines provides the electricity needed to run the Lodge. Fresh water from the torrent is used for “forest bathing”, showers and other daily uses. Drinking water comes from a spring in the forest. It is filtered by a mechanical filtration system and ultraviolet rays. The toiletries supplied are entirely biodegradable.
Vegetables are grown in a climate-appropriate greenhouse, fruit trees grow on the property and the henhouse is well stocked.
